Operations Plans

The Kit Carson will be a distinctive lodging alternative. The restaurant and lounge will have satisfying time-proven menu choices in a nostalgic travel-oriented atmosphere. The historic style rooms and suites will be individually decorated and accessorized to accommodate the modern traveler while maintaining an elegant 1930s feel.

Food and drink will be available for guests at all times. Sit down dining room service and limited take-out will be available. Ala carte choices and daily specials will be advertised in advance.

Focus will be on fresh, well-prepared, satisfying dishes. The hotel will provide food service throughout the day and night in order to accommodate the business traveler and transitory workers such as railroad crews.

Service

Food and beverage service will be available in the Hotel from 6:00 am to 12:00 am. The lounge will have it’s own limited menu; the café’s hours will be typical; the tea room will have limited hours and will be serviced by the main kitchen.

The magnificent 30x50 foot ballroom will continue to be an important community gathering place as well as a special event center for weddings, anniversaries, reunions, conferences, educational programs, dances, and other functions.

Meeting space for local clubs will be available in the lounge, lobby, restaurant and ballroom. In house catering will be a special offering for events in the ballroom and other appropriate areas. Only the imagination of staff, clients and guests will limit the possibilities. The tea room will be a perfect setting for ladies' luncheons, little girls' birthday tea parties, and bridal showers, and will offer edible and collectable merchandise along with the tea menu.

Hotel Products

Guests will choose from thirty distinctively decorated rooms consisting of single, double or suite accommodations, all with private full baths.

All rooms have TV, radio, phone, and high-speed internet access. Hair dryers, irons, safety deposit boxes, etc. will be available at front desk.

Breakfast coupons for use at the café will be included in room price. The same idea may be used to encourage lounge patronage.
